Week 1: Utopias and Dystopias looking to the past

This week I started 3 MOOC in Coursera. One of them is E-learning and Digital Cultures. We should see videos, read,... and finally, write something about it and share our opinions. I think, I'm going to write all weeks here.
This week we should learn about Utopias and Dystopias looking to the past. In my opinion, technology is a very important part of our life. The big changes in the world happen because some technologies produce it. I understand technology as tools, instruments, machines or techniques. The world change with the wheel. Today we can live in places because we use technology to get water from subsoil. It couldn't happen 500 years ago. When Johannes Gutenberg invented printing, he revolutionized the world, because it allowed to share  knowledge. And today it happens something similar with Internet. But these things can be good or bad, it depends who controls them.
It is difficult to avoid technologies in our life. We can use more or less, but we use them. Then they are a piece of our idea about Utopia. But not all of us are looking the same Utopia. We shall watch 4 videos and I choosed it to share.

This communication method is utopic or dysatopic? I think in this film it is utopic, because they didn't know this "machine", but they tried it. And finally it works good. When a problem happens they tried to repair it as soon as possible. They can use another, but they choose it.
About how technology changes, you can watch the video below. It show people who change their life because a new technology falls from the sky. They don't think how it can change their lifes. They only believe in new technology. But sometimes we should value how it works and affect us, to use or not to use it.

Sorry for the mistakes in English.
